Online grooming
Online grooming occurs when an adult tries to engage a child or young person in conversations or behaviours online of a personal and sexual nature.
Illegal Content
Some types of online content are upsetting, disturbing or even illegal. This includes child abuse images, violent pornography, and racist or discriminatory content.
Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying occurs when digital technologies (e.g., the internet, mobile phones) are used to bully someone. Like other types of bullying this is meant to embarrass, hurt or humiliate the victim.
Prejudice and hate online
People sometimes experience harassment or bullying online or by mobile phone because of their religion, culture or ethnic group.
